Chairman Ian Kleier started Kleier Residential in 1995 as a joint venture with his wife Michele Kleier who is one of Manhattan’s top real estate brokers. Prior to forming Kleier Residential, Ian had an illustrious career in the advertising world first as a commercial copy writer for BBDO Advertising, then as Vice President-advertising for Loews Corporation and finally as the head of Cavaleri & Kleier, a dynamic advertising agency specializing in entertainment and travel. Ian being an animal lover supports many dog charities including the ASPCA, Bide A Wee and The Humane Society. He is also a classic movie lover and has an extensive collection of film memorabilia including iconic movie posters.
At Kleier Residential Ian takes care of the business and marketing while Michele concentrates on the brokerage side. Ian, Michele and now their daughters Samantha and Sabrina have made Kleier Residential the leading boutique real estate brokerage in Manhattan and the only one that is family owned and managed. Ian is proud that their high profile residential brokerage consistently negotiates on some of the city’s biggest deals and was on the REAL DEAL’s list of top 25 brokerages in 2022 and 2023.
